A December to Remember!

Posted by Andria at 6:10 PM

December 2012 was absolutely wonderful especially having a new little addition to celebrate with ;) It seemed like every week we had fun plans from a simple day of crafts to a big day at Disney World. Our goal as a family is always to have quality time and make beautiful memories. Here's some of what we did throughout December..

At the beginning of each month Lowes has a great little program where you can take kids and let them have hands on fun building things. They do different projects each month and even earn badges. What a perfect opportunity for hands on learning since Aizlynn is home schooled! We started out our Dec. with Aizlynn getting to build, I mean REALLY build with hammer, nails and all, a "gingerbread house". Her Daddy didn't waste any time getting involved. It was so cute!

Every year through a sort of girl scout club at our church called Mpact girls, Aizlynn does what they call "Christmas Around the World" where each group of girls is assigned a country and they learn about holiday traditions from that specific place. They're also in charge of bringing one dish from that country. This year Aizlynn had Egypt and this mama worked hard backing enough Basbousa cake for a lot of people! Aizlynn made quite a pretty little Egyptian girl if I d say so myself ;)

This next set of pics is our annual Christmas cookie baking day. An awesome tradition if you ask me! Every year we go to Grandma and Grandpa's house and spend the whole afternoon busy baking and decorating cookies while listening to Christmas songs in the back round. My Dad did the sweetest thing that day & pulled out a Christmas sweater that use to be mine as a little girl. I can't believe he kept it after all these years! It was so cute seeing it on Aizlynn..

Another Briggette Christmas tradition is to go to Magic Kingdom and do the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. This year we wanted to change things up a bit as Aizlynn was DYING to experience the Osborne Spectacle of Lights at Disney's Hollywood Studios so we park hopped. It was actually an awesome experience and we ended up having just as much of a great time as if we'd gone to Magic Kingdom if not more!

Here we are celebrating with my Dad & step mom. Traditionally we spend Christmas Eve with them where we'll exchange gifts and it always includes Christmas Eve dinner out at a nice restaurant. I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful family :)

Last but certainly not least, there's Christmas day. We had an amazing Christmas! The girls not only got spoiled rotten but we were surrounded by family all day which is the most important part. Of course, Christmas this year was all the more special now that our beautiful Aubrey Grace is here.

If there's one thing I know for sure it's that no matter how much "stuff" I get, I already have everything I've ever wanted or needed. Hope everyone out there had a wonderful Holiday season!
