Piano Lesson for Aizlynn!

Posted by Andria at 7:11 PM 1 comments

Aizlynn has always been a music lover (like her mama) and has taken quite an interest in piano. We started out with a simple keyboard for Christmas but, it only inspired her to want to learn more. Because of the fact that the only instrument I'm good at is my voice ;) I could only show her so much. The solution? Piano Lessons of course!

As a parent, it's important to me that Aizlynn take lessons with a reputable but, also fun teacher. After all, we want her to love what she's doing so she'll stick with it ;) I can certainly say that we found all we were looking for and more in Victor Romero, founder of In Harmony Music School of Orlando. What a fantastic instructor he is! His patient, easy going and relaxed style of teaching is exactly what we were looking for and it's been quite effective. Aizlynn was sight reading music on her very first day! Jeff and I are so impressed with In Harmony Music that I just had to share the information with my central FL. parents. If you or your child is seeking to learn not only piano but, also a wide variety of other instruments and even vocal lessons, this is definitely the place to go. Contact Victor at (407) 9708782 or at for more info.

In the meantime, we're excited to see Aizlynn take her musical interest to a new level. She's having so much fun learning to play piano and knowing that just warms my heart. I'm so proud of my little musician!

Aubrey Grace is Five Months Old!

Posted by Andria at 7:50 PM 0 comments

I have a five month old! I CANNOT believe we're almost half way to a first Birthday! When I think about how quickly Aubrey's growing, I'm glad to be that silly mom who constantly takes videos and tons of pictures. I just don't want to miss anything. I still get caught up just staring at her and marveling at how incredibly beautiful she is. I'll admit it, I'm obsessed with her lol!

Going from four to five months brought on so many changes, almost from one week to the next. Some have been wonderful and some of those changes have been a bit rough on this mama. I suspect Aubrey's teething so that's made for some very grumpy baby moments throughout the day. I had a sort of de javu when I went out to purchase teething tablets and teething rings- brought me right back to my days with Aizlynn as a baby.  Other changes have been so much fun! Getting to see all the new things Aubrey can do and also seeing how aware of the world she's become has been a huge joy.

At five months old Aubrey-

Has mastered reaching and grabbing. It's especially sweet when she reaches out and touches my face during nursing sessions. I melt!

Loves her latest toy- Her Bright Starts Petals and Friends Activity Gym. It's adorable and she looks adorable playing in it :) Best $25 ever spent!

Can smack! And yes, sometimes it's ALSO my face during nursing sessions lol! Mostly it's her toys or a hard surface.

Is a little "spaz". Always has been. If you sneeze, talk to loudly, laugh suddenly etc. she jumps out of her skin. She's very sensitive.

Has added the "b-b-b" sound to her baby gibberish. (Still hasn't said mama or dada)

Is still a big fan of being worn in a wrap.

Can officially roll ALL the way over and not just to her side. FINALLY!

Has discovered how to shriek at the top of her lungs  (God help us). She does it when she's really frustrated or simply just for kicks.

Is now sturdy enough to be held on Mommy's hip ;)

Has become such a little chunker!

Is still exclusively breastfed- Go us!

My sweet little Aubrey Grace, I'm so proud to be your mommy. You bring us more joy than you could ever imagine. I love you so much baby girl...

Aizlynn's 8th Birthday

Posted by Andria at 5:36 PM 0 comments

On August 5th, our precious first born princess turned eight years old. EIGHT! We are so proud of the beautiful, smart and loving girl that she is. I know she's still a child but it's shocking to see how much growing up she's done. It really does seem like just yesterday I was cradling her in my arms. She's become such a passionate, witty & not to mention funny kid- it's been such a joy having her in our lives.

From the moment Aizlynn saw the movie "Brave" she was hooked and decided she wanted it to be her Birthday theme. We celebrated at a relatives house since they have the big yard, swimming pool and trampoline- basically, kid heaven. I did get some ideas online on how to really play on the theme and left the rest to good old Party City ;) It was truly an awesome day with lots of family and good friends to share in the fun. Happy Birthday to my beautiful Aizlynn Marie! You may be eight years old now but your STILL my baby girl..

(Bear Paws! And yep, I made em' myself)

(Kids are ready to start their archery tournament)

(I held in a floodgate of tears during this moment lol!)
